  • The network will further check the dispute, and then they will forward it to your card issuer, who will pay you for the wrong charge, or they will send it to the merchant and tell them to pay you back.
  • If the merchant gets the dispute, then they have two ways out of it. One, they can send the dispute back to the card network, or if they know that it is their fault, then they will forward it to the merchant head.
  • Now, if the merchant is getting the dispute, then they either have to pay back the money or dispute the chargeback.
  • If your merchant decides to pay for the problem, then the issue will be resolved there and then. However, if the merchant decides to send it back to your issuer, then it will create more chaos, and the process will go back and forth.
